First Time After Sushant Singh Rajput's Death, Karan Johar Breaks His Social Media Silence But Mutes His Comments Section
It was on June 14 that Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last, leaving millions of people devastated and enraged. It’s a known fact that Sushant’s death fueled the criticism surrounding nepotism with a streak of Bollywood biggies and star kids coming at the receiving end of hatred. Among many others, the list also includes filmmaker Karan Johar, who was brutally slammed for allegedly isolating Sushant and snatching off his films and giving them to star kids. Ever since tragedy, KJo has been completely off social media.

However, two months after the tragedy, the Takht filmmaker has made a post on his Instagram, or we say he has broken his social media silence. On the occasion of Independence Day, Karan Johar has wished all his fellow citizens by sharing a picture of the Indian flag, along with a message. “To our great nation....a treasure trove of culture, heritage and history.... #happyindependenceday ... JAI HIND,” read his caption. Karan, however, had switched off his comments section , except for those he doesn't follow back, to avoid further criticism.

Reportedly, Karan Johar is having another private Instagram account, wherein he only follows and is followed by his close buddies. On Sushant’s demise, Karan had penned a letter saying how he feels bad about not staying in touch with the actor for over a year.

Check out his post below:

“I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year..... I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with...but somehow I never followed up on that feeling...will never make that mistake again...we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times ...some of us succumb to these silences and go within...we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them....Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me ...to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations.....I hope this resonates with all of you as well....will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug,” wrote Kjo, along with a picture of him and Sushant.
